Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the club presents information through this website and how we address personal information that visitors may choose to provide in connection with tennis and club enquiries. We take a data-minimisation approach and do not require an account to read the public pages.
We operate in Nova Scotia, Canada. Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where applicable, govern relevant activities. Where the EU or UK data-protection rules apply to a particular interaction, the rights and safeguards under those rules may apply as well. Nothing in this notice removes any rights you have under mandatory law.
1. Who is responsible for the website
The organisation responsible for the club website and its communications is:
Email: info@purevessariqora.com
For privacy questions, access requests or correction requests, please identify your enquiry in a message to info@purevessariqora.com. The address and telephone are shown on the Contact page. We do not require you to disclose sensitive information to request help.
2. Information we receive
The public website does not include member accounts, public comment facilities, payment checkout, account profiles or a contact submission form. You can browse its informational pages without entering your name, email address or phone number.
If you contact the club using your own email programme or another channel outside this site, we may receive your name, contact details, the content of the message, and information you choose to share about lessons, courts or club participation. Please avoid sending payment details, health information or other sensitive information unless separately requested through a secure channel.
When the website is served by a hosting provider, standard technical request data may be processed to deliver the page and protect the service. Depending on the hosting configuration, it can include IP address, request time, requested resource, browser type, device information, and error information. The static site itself contains no audience-tracking JavaScript.
3. Purposes and legal basis
We use information received through enquiries to answer questions, discuss availability or participation where requested, maintain necessary communication and handle a potential complaint. Technical request data is used only where needed to deliver content, detect faults, prevent abuse or maintain security.
Under Canadian privacy requirements, we seek meaningful consent where required and limit collection to identifiable, appropriate purposes. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our relevant legal grounds may be legitimate interests in site security and responding to non-contractual requests; steps taken at your request before entering into an arrangement; compliance with legal obligations; or your consent when it is required. These legal grounds do not mean we collect every category of data described above.
4. Website technologies and cookies
The downloadable frontend does not set advertising cookies, analytics cookies or tracking identifiers. The navigation menu operates within the current page and does not need to store your behaviour in a browser cookie or local storage. No Google Analytics, advertising pixels or social tracking widgets are included in the project.
Your browser may still use its ordinary cache, and a production hosting platform could introduce essential security or delivery mechanisms; the actual deployed configuration should be checked. The separate Cookie Policy describes these distinctions in more detail.
5. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell visitors’ personal information. Routine website delivery may involve the hosting provider chosen by the website operator. If you initiate communication by email, transmission of your message also necessarily involves the relevant email providers. Those services process information to provide communications and delivery functions and may be subject to their own legal obligations.
We may disclose information where legally required, to prevent serious misuse, or to professional advisers bound by appropriate duties of confidentiality. We do not describe any advertising, external AI processing, payment handling or analytics integration because the published static website does not contain such features.
6. International transfers
Where a hosting or communications supplier operates outside Canada, information could be handled in another jurisdiction. Before using such a provider for personal information, the operator should assess the location of processing, the provider’s commitments and any safeguards required by applicable law. For EU or UK residents, legally required transfer mechanisms would be considered where relevant.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain enquiries only for the time reasonably needed to provide a response, administer an ongoing matter, and meet any applicable legal, record-keeping or dispute-resolution requirements. Different retention rules may apply to business records and technical security logs. We review stored information and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer required for a legitimate purpose.
Hosting request logs, if generated, are governed by the selected host’s configuration and retention settings, which should be documented before deployment. We do not represent that the static website itself operates a separate visitor database.
8. Security and confidentiality
We use a minimised static-frontend design with locally served resources and avoid exposing personal contact information to unnecessary third-party scripts. Appropriate organisational and technical controls should also be applied to the live hosting environment and any club communication accounts, including access restrictions, software updates, backups and secure connections.
No electronic communication or storage method is completely risk-free. If you suspect misuse of information associated with an enquiry, please contact the club so the circumstances can be assessed.
9. Your privacy choices and rights
Subject to the privacy laws that apply to you, you may request access to information held about you, correction of inaccurate data, withdrawal of consent where the processing relies on consent, and information about how your data is used. EU/UK individuals may also have rights to erasure, restriction, portability, objection to processing, and a complaint to a relevant supervisory authority.
Requests can be directed to info@purevessariqora.com. We may ask for information necessary to verify that the request concerns your data but will not demand more than is reasonably necessary. If a request cannot be fulfilled because of a legal exception, we will explain that where possible. In Canada, concerns can also be raised with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada when the matter falls within its remit.
10. Children and participation
This website provides general information about tennis and the club. It does not intentionally collect information from children through online registration forms. Families should contact the club directly about any junior activities and the consent arrangements that would apply before sharing a minor’s details.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may revise this document when the website, the underlying processing activities, or applicable legal duties change. Material changes should be reflected in the date shown on this page. Continuing to browse the site does not replace any consent that legislation requires for a new processing purpose.
